Trump calls on Justice Department to disclose all Democrats files tied to Epstein
In a message posted on his social media platform, Trump asserted, "The Dems are the ones who worked with Epstein, not the Republicans. Release all of their names, embarrass them, and get back to helping our Country!"
Reacting to a recent announcement by the Justice Department that more than one million additional pages of documents tied to Epstein had been discovered, Trump complained that the agency was being distracted by what he called politically motivated allegations. He wrote that the "DOJ is being forced to spend all of its time on this Democrat inspired Hoax."
He went on to question when the department would shift its focus, asking, "When do they say NO MORE, and work on Election Fraud etc. The Dems are the ones who worked with Epstein, not the Republicans,"
Trump further dismissed the prolonged scrutiny surrounding Epstein as "Just another Witch Hunt," arguing that the "Radical Left" was attempting to divert attention away from "TRUMP & REPUBLICAN SUCCESS."
Earlier in the week, the Justice Department confirmed that it had obtained more than one million additional documents that could be connected to Epstein. Officials said the review process could take "a few more weeks," noting that legal teams are working continuously to examine the materials and apply required redactions to safeguard victims.
Authorities stated that the documents would be released "as soon as possible" once the review is complete, in line with obligations under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, signed into law on Nov. 19, as well as other applicable laws and court directives.
Epstein was found dead in his jail cell in New York City in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.
Survivors have accused him of running a vast sex trafficking operation allegedly involving figures from wealthy and political circles.
The case continues to generate intense political controversy in the United States, with lawmakers and victims’ advocates from across the political spectrum pressing for greater openness regarding Epstein’s associates and anyone who may have enabled his crimes.
