Turkish building company develops sustainable villa project in Bursa

(MENAFN) Turkish prefabricated building company Karmod has announced the development of a steel-frame villa project in the Gemlik district of Bursa, highlighting its focus on sustainable and resilient architecture.

The project, which features four two-story villas each covering 206 square meters, aims to serve as a model for sustainable housing by combining energy efficiency, structural safety, and the use of eco-friendly materials. Construction is expected to be completed within 40 days.

“Our steel construction model enables the creation of fully sustainable homes — from the use of environmentally friendly materials to ensuring structural safety and energy efficiency,” said Uğur Kadir, General Manager of Karmod Prefabrik.

Kadir emphasized that sustainability extends beyond environmental and energy considerations, noting that the villas are designed to withstand Türkiye’s seismic conditions, ensuring durability and long-term safety.

“The project exemplifies sustainable architecture,” he said. “The homes are designed in line with energy efficiency and renewable energy standards, fully compatible with smart home systems.”

According to Kadir, the prefabrication process takes place at Karmod’s Tuzla facilities in Istanbul, while on-site assembly is handled by specialized company teams.
